This step is taken on by a professional translator (primary translator) who translates written documents from source language to target language, for example from English to a foreign language or vice versa.
Another professional translator (secondary translator) reviews the translated documents and revises them as necessary. The primary translator will then review and implement the revisions suggested by the secondary translator, as appropriate.
Based on our years of experience in translation industry and feedback from our customers, editing is a key step to ensure translation quality. Therefore, we highly recommend 2 separate steps—Translation and Editing by 2 professional translators for official translations to ensure accuracy and translation quality.
Translated documents are reviewed and revised by one or more professional translators/language experts on specialized area to ensure the translation’s readability from the perspective of the target readers.
In the course of translation, a professional translator formats the translated document to match the layout and other formatting styles of the source document as appropriate.
A professional Desk Top Publisher (DTP) maps out translated texts based on the layout of source documents as well as taking into account of the specific formatting styles of a target language.
The same translator who completes translation proofreads the layout versions of the translation and provides comments/corrections to ensure the final translation matches the same formats of the original document.
